Fugi

This exceptional batch comes from the Ikizere group, a collective of 23 women producers in the Nyaruguru district of Rwanda. Widows or single mothers, they combine their expertise and resilience to produce coffee of remarkable quality. Grown at an altitude of 1,550 to 1,850 meters, this washed Red Bourbon is processed at the Fugi station, where the cherries are pulped by hand—a traditional Rwandan method that produces a delicate, floral, and sweet cup. Thanks to their partnership with Baho Coffee and Semilla, these women receive a price 50% higher than the national average, as well as ongoing support: fair wages, health insurance, and payments spread throughout the year.
