Fugi
Description
This specialty coffee comes from the Nyamasheke District in Rwanda, grown by a group of 31 women producers from the Ikizere Women's Group, processed at the Akagera washing station under the supervision of Baho Coffee, and imported by Semilla Coffee.
Grown from the Red Bourbon variety and processed using the natural method, this batch is cultivated at elevations between 1,535 and 1,900 meters above sea level. The result in the cup is bright and complex, with notes of juicy peach, cherry blossom, black tea, and a creamy chocolate mousse finish. Its light roast highlights the fruity and floral profile typical of Nyamasheke coffees.
The Ikizere Women's Group was created to support and recognize the work of women producers, who are often invisible in the coffee value chain. By purchasing this coffee, you are directly encouraging their independence and contributing to fair remuneration.
The Akagera station, nestled between Lake Kivu and the Nyungwe Forest, is one of Baho Coffee's smallest, allowing for special attention to each batch. Thanks to the commitment of Emmanuel, founder of Baho, producers receive a price above the national average, promoting a better quality of life and sustainable production.
An explosive, fruity, and floral coffee that celebrates the work of women and the richness of Rwanda's terroir.
